On the site of the former Tyne Tees Television Studios a purpose-built student accommodation development comprising 227 self-contained studio apartments and desirable communal facilities. The steeply sloping site was remodeling resulting in over 7000m3 of cut inert natural material being excavated and disposed of off site.

Designed to provide an unparalleled student experience, Opto Student Newcastle comprises 227 contemporary self-contained studio apartments.

The development will contain a selection of highly desirable on-site facilities including a gym, reception, games/TV room, cinema/meeting rooms, a courtyard and a separate outdoor events venue that will contain a large communal kitchen and two dining rooms on the ground floor. The second floor will have plenty of space to host events and a roof terrace.
